France At Last!!!!

Bonjour!! This is my first post as a new blogger and I couldn't be more excited to tell you about my time in France. I have only been here for two days but I am already in love with the city of Rennes where I live. It is absolutely beautiful!! Words and pictures cannot describe how amazing it is. The history of France and Europe in general is so much older than American history and you can tell by just walking 5 minutes down the city streets. I could stare at the older buildings all day.

But first I will tell you how I came about this opportunity to live in France. My neighbor, Mary, was here before me for a year as an "au pair" (nanny). Her mom came up to me one day in church and asked if I was going to school, and if I worked, and if i was dating....so my first thought was oh great, she's going to try to set me up with someone. haha, but to my surprise she said, "Do you want to live in France?" Well of course I wanted to live in France. She explained that Mary was coming home and the family needed a new "au pair." So I decided to put a hold on school for a year and live in France to nanny for four French children. I'm still trying to get use to the time difference; it's 8 hours ahead in France. So as soon as I'm on schedule I'll try to post more often. Until then, au revoir!!
