Thanksgiving and fake spiders!!!

I just realized that I forgot to put pictures up of the country house! So here are a few. It was absolutely beautiful there!

Today is my 3 month anniversary of being in France!! It's gone by so fast already but at the same time it seems like I've been here for forever because I have learned SO much! And I still have a ton more to learn!

Last Saturday I was able to celebrate Thanksgiving here with some friends from my ward. I'm so grateful for them and for everyone who prepared something yummy to eat! There was a lot of food! I was in charge of making the mashed potatoes and I ended up making more than enough! But I guess it's better to have left overs than not enough right? I had so much fun! So, first we ate the big meal and then we went to the park to play a little football and frisbee. Then we came back and had some pie! Afterwards we played some games. I don't know what it's called but we played a game where you have two ties (donated from the missionaries) and you sit in a circle. With one tie you tie one knot and with the other tie you tie two knots. If the one knot tie catches up to you then you lose. It was very entertaining! I was sad that I wasn't going to be able to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, so I'm grateful that I was able to!

I love this picture!! Football in action!

This is the best picture of the tie game!

Also, it was Marie-B birthday so we made her a cake and the kid's made 'Coupon Cards' for her that said things like, "Present this coupon and receive help in the garden from me," or "Present this coupon and I will help with dinner." It was very cute and I think she liked it. We'll see if she uses them!

I forgot to mention Aymeric and Maelle-Marie got braces!!

On Tuesday I was running back home after I dropped off the kids and school. I have no idea how it even happened but before I knew it I was lying flat on the ground. Somehow I twisted my ankle and fell. In the process I also scrapped up my knee. So I walked home limping with a bloody knee. I got quite a few stare downs but I made it safely home.
Also, the Troadec's found out I am scared of spiders and decided to play a little trick on me. I left to go to go out with a friend and when I got back it was late and everyone was in bed. So I slowly open my bedroom door and shut it. I got ready for bed and then went to go brush my teeth. As I went to grab the handle of my door I glimpsed something black on my door moving and I freaked out. Luckily I didn't scream out loud and wake anyone up! I only jumped back and gasped. But it got my heart pounding for sure! On closer look I realized it was fake and that someone had attached a paper spider to a string and taped it on my door! I have to give it to them...it was a good idea. BUT I will get them back somehow.... The next morning when I woke up for breakfast I asked who did it and after some laughs they said that everyone was in on it. So...if you have any suggestions of a good joke let me know!
My scrapped up knee!!

Looks real right?

You poor thing though, haha if I think of any good jokes I will send them your way. Sorry about your scrapped knee! But glad to hear you are doing so well!!

haha you and spiders... I swear you are destined to be together :)

Thanksgiving looks delicious, I think you need to write be back on FB so that I can know about the complicated situation.

PS my friend's husband (from my ward here downtown) is from Holland, but his grandparents are from France so he speaks French, English and Dutch! Anyway-- his grandparents go to the ward in Paris... maybe it's the same one? I'll have to get their names if so!
