Our First Purchase

Today we woke up and walked to the beach where the kids would be doing sailing lessons. We had to help them put there wet suits on which took a little time but I was so excited for them! And then they were off into the water learning how to sail! Annalise and I sat on the beach and waited for them to finish......but it was freezing! I was expecting sunshine and sunburns but instead I got a little bit of rain and goosebumps. Hopefully the weather will be better the rest of the week. But it was still a blast!
For those of you who don't know....spiders frighten me. A lot. I was sitting on the beach with Annalise and all of a sudden she was like "There's a spider on your back!!" And of course I cursed and started freaking out. It was on my shoulder and I couldn't see it so I kinda just kept hitting myself in the shoulder until eventually I smashed it and it fell off on my towel. And Annalise pushed it off my towel for me cuz I didn't want to touch it. I swear they can sense my fear because I always find spiders on me. About a year ago there was a hobo spider on my foot, but that's a whole other story I'm not gonna get into.
After the spider incident we decided to go buy a baguette for our lunch. But we were nervous because it was our first time buying something on our own. AH! I made Annalise talk and she did an awesome job!! She said everything perfectly and the lady understood everything. It was awesome!!
So the kids got back from there sailing lessons and we ate lunch on the beach and afterwards played tag. It's really hard to run in the sand....and the kids are very energetic....so I got tired fast. Afterwards we packed everything up and stopped to get another baguette for dinner. And it was my turn to talk. And.........I didn't mess up!!!! I was so proud of myself! haha. I think it definitely boosted our confidence. I already knew it would be really hard to learn the language but I didn't know it would be this frustrating. I really want to be able to speak to the family and to other people without being scared or worried that I'll say something wrong. And I haven't even been here a week so I need to just relax and be patient.
