Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

Today was fun. Fun in that kind of way that you wish it didn't happen but your glad it did because it makes a good story. A good story for my blog. So here it is...we went to the beach yet again today. When we left, there were a few clouds but I was warm enough to wear shorts and not to bring my good sweater. We got the kids ready and they were off in the sea sailing away. And Annalise and I were basking in the sunshine. AND THEN....out of nowhere clouds decided to join the party. Followed by thunder. And then rain, and by rain I mean hail!! It was hailing hard!! And there wasn't anywhere for us to go. There wasn't any shelter we could go to except like 5 minutes away in the city. So we hurried and threw all of our stuff in our bag and started running. There is a little storage trailer where some wet suits are kept so we ran into there for safety. But the damage was already done, we were soaked! So we just stood there...dripping water and freezing. I felt like I was in a flash flood. The kids came rushing back to shore soon after because it was too dangerous. A couple boats even tipped over! But of course, the hail stopped and the sun came out again. While we were in the trailer another woman, rather larger woman, took shelter with us. Out of no where she started stripping down and drying herself off. I had to remind myself that I was in France and they're not shy here.
