Crabs......And Shell Things

Yesterday I took the kids to the school so that I would know the way around. We were suppose to take the bus but it wasn't running until Monday so we decided to walk there. It was farther than I thought....and I got blisters. But it was worth it. Afterwards, we went to the Parc du Thabor. It is a huge park and I haven't even seen a fourth of it yet, but what I have seen is beautiful!!! There is a little place for fish and lots of flowers! (Mom you would faint because of the flower awsomeness!) We stopped at a playground and hung out there for a bit, then we headed back home for lunch. Here are a few pictures, but there will be more to come after I explore more of the park.

Fish Pond

Random Picture of flowers they bought for my bedroom. Orchids are my second favorite flower!

In the past few days I've had a few people come up to me and start asking questions. Most of them have asked if I know how to get somewhere. I just say that I don't speak french and that I'm sorry, and they kinda just walk away. I feel like I look like a tourist but I think being with the kids makes me seem legit. Maybe I should just wear my camera around my neck all day and take random pictures.

On the way home from the park today I ran into some missionaries!! I was like, "Oh yay, missionaries!" And they looked very surprised. Probably because I was speaking English and I was American. And also because they don't usually have someone yelling out "Oh yay, missionaries!" at them, and right after, "Do you speak English?" After a few seconds I think they realized what was going on and they started talking to me. One was from Utah (of course) and the other was from Georgia. So Annalise and I will be seeing them again on Sunday at church....which we are very excited for. We are excited to meet new people!
Awesome picture that Maelle-Marie took of a St. Malo sunset

Tonight we went to pick the kids up from St. Malo and Annalise just for the week-end. We went to the beach and ate dinner there. Crabs. That they caught the day before. And some kind of something inside a shell. The crabs were very hard to eat. They were small and had very little meat in them. We had to use toothpicks to dig for some meat. It wasn't too bad but I felt like it was a lot of effort for a small amount of food. We also set up a long-jump course and we all took turns jumping as far as we could. I landed on my feet but ended up on my back twice. I'm just not made for long-jumping I guess. Afterwards we went back to the house and had some dessert and headed back to Rennes. It was a really fun night to have everyone together one last time before school starts!

I found a little meat!!!
It looks good right?
