Title translation: Let the good times roll!!! My french class doesn't start for a couple of weeks so I've been trying to study on my own, and I stumbled on that line and thought it would fit. Being in France has opened my eyes to so much in just the couple of weeks since I've been here. Things that didn't matter to me before now mean so much more, and some things that I thought were important aren't so important anymore. All in a good way of course. For example, I know I took my family for granted and being away, far away, I realize how much they helped me and I'm so grateful for them. Being away from the familiar is so hard and frustrating, but the more I get use to things the easier it will be. So, I'm just trying to be patient. Especially with the language. It's so hard wanting to say something but you can't. I feel like a little toddler learning how to talk. haha. I know a few words like stop, wait, go, cross the road, etc... that I can say to the kids. All in good time.
Maelle-Marie just barely said this to me, "So just relax, you have a year to learn it." haha, she is so awesome!

Now for the more interesting part. This week-end Annalise was here. Pretty much all day Saturday we walked around the city. We went to the big marche that they have in Rennes on Saturdays. There is no way to get a good, accurate picture at how big and awesome it is. Then we really wanted to go and eat out and try our french at a restaurant. I wasn't prepared. We got to the restaurant and didn't know if we were suppose to seat ourselves or not. We sat down and starting looking at the menu. I realized that the people next to us were speaking English so they ended up helping us with the menu. The waitress didn't speak English so we were kinda just guessing at what was being said. It was entertaining.
Then we headed to the Parc Du Thabor. I am so glad this park is so close to where I live because it is unbelievably beautiful! Oh, and it's huge! I haven't seen it all yet! They have a big bird cage and a fish pond and flowers everywhere! After walking around in the park for a while we decided to take a rest on the grass. We walked around the city more and I showed Annalise a couple of beautiful churches, the opera, the city hall, and tons of stores! For dinner we went to the creperie that the family took me to on my first night in France. I knew they had English menus so I thought that would be good for us. We had some really good crepes and even better dessert. Oh how I love France!

Sunday. We went to church and met a lot of very nice people! In Relief Society we sat by a lady who translated what was being said for us. She was very helpful because otherwise we would not have known what was going on. For sunday school the sister missionary translated a little for us as well. During sacrament however, we weren't lucky enough to get a translator. So I didn't know what was going on. Afterwards, we were introduced to some people and they really made me feel at home. For the first time since being in France, I felt like I was in a familiar place. And it was a great feeling!
On Sunday afternoon, we went to Les Onzes Ecluses. It is a man-made canal system just 15 minutes away from Rennes. There is a nice pathway along the canal and it seemed to be a pretty happening place! It was very cool.

On Monday, the kids started school. I was so excited for them! I think I was more excited than they were. I kept asking if they were excited and they would just say no. haha. I miss being young and going to school. Now that I have to pay for my own school it's not so great anymore. My job is to drop them off at school, go back and eat lunch with them, and pick them up from school. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
